Swansea MC’s hill climb at Llysyfran on May 12th will be the opening round of the WAMC’s 2013 Junior Challenge. The series is open to 16 to 21 year olds and comprises two rounds each of hillclimbs, sprints, autotests and road rallies (with road rallies open to compete as a driver or navigator.
The common theme with all these disciplines is that you can compete in any standard car without the need for specialist preparation.
The competition will be launched on Ralio’s weekly Welsh language programme (with sub-titles) this Thursday (April 25th) and entails completing a simple application form, which can be downloaded from the website, from which the winner will be selected. The winner will be provided with a car (courtesy of Geoff Jones Motorsport) with Go Motorsport supporting the entry fee.
The winner will need to provide their own overalls, helmet and gloves and hold an MSA licence (Non race National B or higher). If the winner is not currently a licence holder, then an application can be made on the day – simply bring along a completed application form, photograph and the licence fee. As well as the prize of a supported drive, their day will be recorded by Ralio for inclusion in their programme following the Hillclimb.
Details of the full series can be found on page 19 of the WAMC yearbook which can also be found on their website at:
All entries must be submitted to Ralio - address can be found at the bottom of the entry form.
